The Wyoming Secretary of State issued the following news release:
Wyoming Secretary of State Joe Meyer announced today that Accenture and the State have reached a tentative agreement to not proceed with further development of WyoReg, a state-based voter registration system. The Help America Vote Act (HAVA), passed by Congress in Fall 2002, required each state to develop and implement a statewide voter registration system on or before January l, 2006. The specific terms of the agreement will shortly be provided in a joint press release by Accenture and the State of Wyoming but generally the agreement will provide for repayments to the State which will be utilized on behalf of the citizens of ...
