Article: WYOMING SECRETARY OF STATE'S OFFICE, ACCENTURE REACHED TENTATIVE AGREEMENT ON STATE-BASED VOTER REGISTRATION SYSTEM

The Wyoming Secretary of State issued the following news release:

Wyoming Secretary of State Joe Meyer announced today that Accenture and the State have reached a tentative agreement to not proceed with further development of WyoReg, a state-based voter registration system. The Help America Vote Act (HAVA), passed by Congress in Fall 2002, required each state to develop and implement a statewide voter registration system on or before January l, 2006.
