Article: AGRICULTURE COMMISSIONER IRVIN SAYS, CHICKEN ENTREES RECALLED LINKED DIRECTLY TO ILLNESSES CAUSED BY SALMONELLA

The Georgia Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:

Serenade Foods Division of Milford, Ind., has recalled several brands of frozen stuffed chicken entrees linked to cases of illnesses caused by Salmonella enteritidis, Georgia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin announced today.

"The Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) of USDA has issued a Class I Recall of these chicken products because illnesses have been linked directly to these products through case history of the patients and through microbiological testing of both the products and affected consumers," Commissioner Irvin explained.
