Article: STATE POLICE COMISSIONER MILLER SAYS GOV. RENDELL'S BUDGET WOULD PUT 90 MORE TROOPERS ON ROADS TO SAFEGUARD PENNYSLVANIANS

The Pennsylvania State Police issued the following news release:

State Police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller today said Gov. Edward Rendell's proposed 2006-07 budget would add 90 troopers to the state police complement to protect Pennsylvania's communities and roads, establishing yet another historic high in the state police complement.

"Patrol operations are the cornerstone in our efforts to safeguard Pennsylvania," Miller testified before the House Appropriations Committee. "Across the state, communities face the harsh realities of gun violence and drug addiction.
