Article: Aetna Chairman Rowe Will Retire By End Of 2006; Ronald A. Williams Appointed CEO

The Aetna Foundation issued the following news release:

Aetna (NYSE: ÁET) today announced that Chairman and CEO John W. Rowe, M.D., 61, plans to retire by the end of 2006 and that President Ronald A. Williams, 56, has been named president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective February 14. Dr. Rowe, who has served as the company's chairman since April 1, 2001 and CEO since Dec. 13, 2000, will serve as executive chairman from Feb. 14 until his retirement.
