Article: Virgin Islands lobbyists target Baucus, Thomas

WASHINGTON-The U.S. Virgin Islands has been running a lobbying campaign targeting senators on committees with jurisdiction over the territory, including hosting fundraisers in the past year for Sen. Max Baucus, DMont., and Sen. Craig Thomas, R-Wyo.

Lobbyists for the US. Virgin Islands have focused in part an senators on the Finance Committee, which has jurisdiction over tax laws. Baucus is the top-ranking Democrat on the Finance panel.
