Assemblyman Jonathan Bing, D-Manhattan (73rd District), issued the following press release:
Assemblyman Jonathan L. Bing (D-Manhattan) announced the Assembly's 2006-2007 education budget proposal provides New York City schools with over $547 million more than last year and over $288 million more than what the governor proposed in his budget. Additionally, the Assembly proposal leads us closer to meeting our constitutional obligation to provide all children with a sound, basic education.
"The Assembly's budget reflects my commitment to make sure our children get the best education possible in order to help them prepare to meet the challenges of tomorrow," said Bing.
