WASHINGTON, April 11 -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has introduced the Byron Nelson Congressional Gold Medal Act (S. 2491), legislation that would "award a Congressional gold medal to Byron Nelson in recognition of his significant contributions to the game of golf as a player, a teacher, and a commentator."
The bill, introduced on April 3, referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
