Greetings from western Canada. I trust everyone had an enjoyable holiday season. CANNT in Halifax was well-attended and I had the opportunity to meet many nephrology nurses throughout the western provinces.
British Columbia
* The Vascular Access Education Group (VAEG) won first prize for their poster presentation "A B.C. initiative: Strengthening the Achilles' heel of hemodialysis." Congratulations! VAEG is in the initial stages of planning the first vascular access conference for western Canada, more details to follow. Good luck.
* B.C. Nephrology Days occurred Oct. 20-21, 2005.
* Provincial Vascular Access Service Team (PVAST) - pilot project finished.
* Joanne Cozac presented initiatives ...
