An important feature of the 1992 and 1995 INTOSAI Congresses was the integration of INTOSAI's committees into the congress program. This tradition will be continued at the XVI INCOSAI in Uruguay where Theme II will focus on how the work of the INTOSAI standing committees can help prevent and detect fraud and corruption. To support the work of the committees, and to keep INTOSAI members informed about the committees so they can more fully participate in the committees during the two years leading up to the congress, the Journal is pleased to provide the following information on the status of each committee.
