Article: Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail Designation Act Introduced by Sen. Sarbanes

WASHINGTON, April 18 -- Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes, D-Maryland, has introduced the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail Designation Act (S. 2568) legislation that would "amend the National Trails System Act to designate the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail."

The bill, introduced on April 6, is being co-sponsored by Sens. John Warner, R-Virginia; George Allen, R-Virginia; Barbara Mikulski, D-Maryland; Joseph R. Biden, D-Delaware; and Tom Carper, D-Delaware. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
