The University of Iowa's Iowa Center for the Arts issued the following news release:
The University of Iowa Jazz Repertory Ensemble will present its final concert of the 2005-06 academic year at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in Clapp Recital Hall on the UI campus. The concert, under the direction of Brent Sandy, will be free and open to the public.
Trombonist Paul McKee, a University of Northern Iowa alumnus who currently teaches at the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music, will be featured guest soloist.
Sandy commented, "The JRE performs works by master jazz composers and arrangers, past and present. This program is no different. From the work of Duke Ellington, Charles ...
