Article: RECYCLING HELPS IMPROVE CITY RECREATION FACILITIES IN COUNCIL DISTRICT ONE

The city of San Diego Department of Environmental Services issued the following news release:

The City of San Diego's Environmental Services Department (ESD) presented a $6,889.93 check to representatives of city recreation councils on February 28, 2006 to help improve the Doyle, Standley, La Jolla, and Canyonside recreation centers.

The donation, presented at the Doyle Recreation Center, represents one year of revenue generated from the sale of recyclable materials collected at city park and recreation recycling drop-off locations in City Council District One, represented by Council President Scott Peters.
