Echoing the predictions of many Wall Street oil and gas analysts, Global Santa Fe. Corp. (NYSE: GSF) President C. Stedman Garber Jr. believes that drilling activity in the United States could pick up in the second half of this year with a little help from the weather and the economy.
Garber, who also is the International Association of Drilling Contractors' (IADC) 2002 chairman, conceded that winter would have to last "all the way into next July" to have any substantial impact on gas prices in the first half of the year.
