Article: RECYCLING HELPS IMPROVE CITY RECREATION FACILITIES IN COUNCIL DISTRICT FIVE

The city of San Diego Department of Environmental Services issued the following news release:

The City's Environmental Services Department presented a check to city recreation council members for $6,188.61 to help improve the Carmel Mountain Ranch/Sabre Springs, Rancho Bernardo Glassman, and Mira Mesa recreation centers.

The donation, presented at the Carmel Mountain Ranch/Sabre Springs Recreation Center on February 28, 2006, represents one year of revenue generated from the sale of recyclable materials collected at city park and recreation recycling drop-off locations in Council District Five, represented by Councilmember Brian Maienschein.
