The Bakersfield Police Department issued the following news release:
On 04/26/06, the Bakersfield Police Department/Kern County Sheriff's Department Joint Vice Unit conducted a "Minor Decoy Alcohol Enforcement Operation" in the rural area west of Bakersfield and Buttonwillow. During this project,thirteen liquor store and convenience store locations were visited by officers and a minor who attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Of the thirteen premises visited none were in violation of selling alcohol to a minor. This represents a 100% compliance rate and is ...
