Article: COUNCIL APPROVES SITE PLAN FOR UNDERGROUND PARKING GARAGE FOR MIXED-USE PROJECT

The city of Raleigh issued the following news release:

The City Council on May 2 unanimously approved a site plan for an underground parking garage that would be part of the largest mixed-use project planned for downtown Raleigh.

The 346,704-square-foot underground parking garage will have three levels and approximately 696 parking spaces. It will be the first phase of construction for a 661,000-square-foot mixed-use project on City-owned land in the convention center area on downtown's south end. TMC Development Group LLC is proposing an approximately $130 million mixed-use office, retail and residential complex on a 1.8-acre City-owned parcel just east of the old convention center site. ...
