Ferrell Blount, Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, issued the following response to Joe Boylan's victory over Richard Morgan in N.C. House District 52:

"Over the past few months, the North Carolina Republican Party reluctantly participated in the Republican primary for N.C. House District 52. This was an unprecedented action for our Party, but it was an action in which we felt compelled to engage.

"I congratulate Joe Boylan on his well-fought victory, and I invite those who supported Richard Morgan to come home. You will be warmly welcomed.
