Following a trend of west side communities trying to establish a more hometown identity with their own downtown destinations, West Jordan City has created a new City Center Zone ordinance that will help guide future development of a downtown center.
With West Jordan City Hall, the Utah Third District Courthouse, West Jordan Justice Court and the Veterans Memorial Park forming a Civic Center off Redwood Road, it became the natural central location in the city to create a downtown city center.
