CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS AND AGGREGATES COMMITTEE
The following is clarification of an item reported in ME (Oct. 2001, p.70) that was approved at the SME Board of Directors meeting, Aug. 12 in Lake Tahoe, NV.
The SME Board of Directors, with support from the Industrial Minerals Division and president-- elect Michael Karmis, has approved a new standing committee - the Construction Materials and Aggregates Committee.
The construction materials and aggregates industry comprises the largest segment of the greater minerals industry. Yet, it is the least represented group within SME. Our hope is that this new committee will provide leadership and a home within SME to construction materials and ...
