Rep. Charles W. 'Chip' Pickering, R-Miss. (3rd CD), issued the following press release:
Sens. Thad Cochran and Trent Lott, and Rep. Chip Pickering, announce $1,214,000 in Rural Development Water and Waste Disposal funds for the Mary Springs Rural Water Association in Amite County.
"Recovery and investment into communities after Hurricane Katrina, combined with the natural growth of our towns and counties, put added pressure on infrastructure like water and waste services which are key to community and development growth. I'm pleased these funds will help ensure Amite County has safe, dependable water," Pickering said.
