Article: UNITED KINGDOM: SENIOR ROYAL NAVY SAILOR, HIS FATHER IN RARE DOUBLE HONOUR

The government of United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence's Royal Navy issued the following news release:

Chief Petty Officer Kevin Shore and his father Peter have both been presented with MBEs by the Queen at the same investiture yesterday, Wednesday 10 May.

It is understood to be a rare occasion not only when two members of the same family are awarded MBEs, but that they are presented to both at the same ceremony.
