Legislation authored by Rep. Mark Green (R-Green Bay) to help crack down on illegal animal fighting took center stage at a House Judiciary Committee hearing Thursday. Green said the hearing marked a significant step forward for his "Animal Fighting Prohibition Act," which would create felony-level penalties for criminals who transport animals or cockfighting paraphernalia across state lines.
