Article: Sting plans 'strange' new album

London, May 28 -- British singer Sting is planning to release a new album in October, featuring 16th century music performed on the lute.

Sting says in his website that the album is "a strange and delightful record and people will be intrigued by it".

"The album is voice and lute, there are a few four part harmonies that I sing and it's all music from the sixteenth century," he says.

The yet-to-be-named album will be released on the classical label Deutsche Grammophon.
