Article: Sen. Stevens Introduces Copper Valley Native Allotment Resolution Act

WASHINGTON, June 1 -- Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, has introduced the Copper Valley Native Allotment Resolution Act of 2006 (S. 3000), legislation that would "grant rights-of-way for electric transmission lines over certain Native allotments in the State of Alaska."

The bill, introduced on May 24, is being co-sponsored by Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
