Clark University issued the following press release:
Matilda Butkas and William Carragan will be performing a concert of solo harpsichord and for harpsichord duets in Razzo Hall, Traina Center for the Arts, Clark University on Saturday, February 11, 2006, at 3 p.m. The program will consist of works by Johann Mattheson (1681-1764). The program will comprise suites and fugues composed in the period 1713-1737 by the great commentator and theorist, including the monumental Suite and Sonata for two harpsichords, which are unique in the literature.
The instruments being played during the Saturday performance are a 2002 reconstruction by Carl and Marilee Dudash of a south-German or central ...
