The U.S. Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney's office for New Jersey issued the following press release:
The former leader of an Asbury Park heroin distribution network was sentenced today to 175 months in federal prison, U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Christie announced.
U.S. District Judge Garrett E. Brown, Jr., also ordered Kurtis Barnes, 27, a.k.a. "Gotti," of Asbury Park, to pay $3,000 in fines and to serve five years of supervised release upon the completion of his prison sentence. Barnes has been in federal custody since his arrest.
A total of 37 defendants were federally charged through a long term multi-agency investigation into the illegal drug trade in Asbury Park. Barnes is the ...
