St. Thomas University issued the following news release: On Thursday, February 2, 2006, St. Thomas University School of Law kicked off its 2006 Distinguished Speaker Series with a speech by author and political activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Mr. Kennedy discussed the important role politics plays in preserving the environment and securing the nation's resources for future generations. "We did not inherit the environment from our Ancestors", said Mr. Kennedy. "We borrowed it from our children." Mr. Kennedy spoke about the role the government plays and the delicate balance that must be maintained between those who want to use our nation's resources and those who fight to preserve them. ...
