The city of Citrus Heights issued the following news release:
An entirely new Citrus Heights Police Department (CHPD) that includes 83 police officers will take their oath at the Swearing In Ceremony on Saturday, June 17th. The program will begin at 10 a.m. and will take place in City's civic center that is located at 6273 Fountain Square Drive. The public is invited to attend.
State Attorney General Bill Lockyer, California's top law enforcement official, will conduct the swearing in part of the program. Many representatives from police departments and law enforcement agencies throughout the state will be in attendance.
