Program Hits One Year Anniversary

A program developed by the Texas Bankers Association and the Clearing House Association of the Southwest is significantly impacting the amount of check fraud reported in Texas. Called Thumbprint Signature, the effort aimed at reducing fraud and protecting bank customers is responsible for a 71 percent reduction in the amount of non-customer check fraud reported by Texas banks.
