NATIONAL youth team mainstay JC Tupaz tallied 994 pinfalls Wednesday night to lead the men's Open masters local qualifiers in the 35th PBC-Boysen International Open Tenpin Bowling Championships at the Green Valley Bowling Center in Pasig City.
Tupaz, who will compete in the World Youth FIQ event in Germany next month, rolled games of 242, 251, 235 and 266 to wrest the lead from Tyrone Ong-pauco, the 2005 ABF Tour Singapore leg champion who posted 986 pinfalls.
