Article: POBLETE ROLLS PERFECT 300, THIRD IN BOYSEN BOWLFEST

FORMER national team member Richie Poblete rolled a perfect game Thursday to take the second spot in the men's Open masters qualifying in the 35th PBC-Boysen Open Tenpin Bowling Championships at the Green Valley Bowling Center in Pasig City.

The 32-year-old Poblete, now playing under the TBAM-Prima team, used a Storm Vertigo No. 15 ball to score 300 in the second game and finish with a four-game series of 993, just a pin behind leader JC Tupaz (994).

Poblete's perfect game was the third in the ongoing tournament after 2005 Southeast Asian Games ladies masters gold medalist Liza Clutario made the feat two days ago and 2003 World Cup men's titlist CJ Suarez last week.
