Kailua's Bridget Dwyer is getting a big break.

Literally.

The former Punahou and UCLA golfer is a contestant in the next installment of The Golf Channel's "Big Break" series.

Dwyer is in the process of going through two weeks of taping for "Big Break VI: Trump National," which premieres Sept. 26.

A member of the Futures Tour, Dwyer is one of 18 golfers -- nine male and nine female -- picked for the show. It's the first time the two sexes will compete together and against each other in The Golf Channel's popular reality show.

Dwyer was a three-time National Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar choice and was voted the Most Inspirational Athlete at UCLA in 2004, the year the Bruins won the ...
