Hoping to educate children about good riding habits and proper ATV safety, the Hatfield-McCoy Regional Recreation Authority has launched a ATV safety initiative in nine counties in West Virginia.

The program could serve as a model for associations in states where ATV use is high. Reaching riders while they're young can prevent bad habits from forming.
