CRNBC has recently published a Practice Standard entitled Complementary and Alternative Health Care that sets out requirements related to nurses' practice.

The primary obligation of a nurse (includes registered nurses, licensed graduate nurses and nurse practitioners) is to provide safe and appropriate care to the public. When nurses take on activities, such as those considered as complementary and/or alternative health care (CAHC), their obligations and responsibilities do not change.
