Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska, chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, issued the following press release:
Two draft bills to improve ballast water management methods and implement international regulations on ship exhaust emissions will be the topic of a Congressional hearing on Tuesday.
The hearing by the U.S. House Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, chaired by U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ), is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11th in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building. A live webcast of the hearing will be available at the Committee's website:
