Article: ASSEMBLYMAN BING'S LEGISLATION TO HELP SENIORS WITH RENT COSTS PASSES ASSEMBLY

Assemblyman Jonathan Bing, D-Manhattan (73rd District), issued the following press release:

Assemblyman Jonathan L. Bing (D-Manhattan) announced Assembly passage of a bill he authored that will enable more seniors to afford to stay in their homes. With over 40 sponsors, Bing's bill would exclude Social Security income and supplemental Social Security income when determining eligibility for the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE) program (A.3372). This legislation is being carried in the Senate by Senator Serphin Maltese (S.6980).
