The office of Sen. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., issued the following press release:
The Senate passed Sen. Mark Pryor's amendment to allocate additional funds for a program based in Pine Bluff, AR that provides our nation's emergency responders with on-site equipment training. His modified amendment - to provide an additional $6.5 million to the technical assistance fund that supports the Pine Bluff program - was accepted as part of the Senate's Fiscal Year 2007 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill on Thursday evening.
Pryor said the Domestic Preparedness Equipment Technical Assistance Program (DPETAP), staffed by employees at the Pine Bluff Arsenal, has trained over 75,000 first responders how to ...
