The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency has issued the following press release:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture designated one county in Oregon as a primary natural disaster area, making all qualified farm operators in the designated area eligible for low-interest emergency (EM) loans from USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA). Malheur County was designated a primary natural disaster areas due to losses caused by flooding, cooler temperatures and abnormally high precipitation that occurred from March 29, 2006, through May 10, 2006.
