WASHINGTON, July 20 -- Rep. Henry E. Brown Jr., R-South Carolina, has introduced the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Facility Authorization Act of 2006 (H.R. 5815), legislation that would "authorize major medical facility projects and major medical facility leases for the Department of Veterans Affairs for fiscal years 2006 and 2007."
The bill, introduced on July 17, is being co-sponsored by Rep. Mike Michaud, D-Maine. It was referred to the House Veterans' Affairs Committee.
