The Suffolk County District Attorney issued the following press release:
A 42-year-old East Hampton woman with a pending DWI charge is in jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail for fatally striking an elderly retired priest while driving her 2003 mini van while drunk Tuesday evening on Woodbine Drive.
Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said Wednesday evening that a Suffolk County Grand Jury would start today to consider evidence from the fatal accident.
The district attorney said his office secured a court authorized warrant Tuesday night to take blood evidence from the defendant as she received treatment for facial lacerations at Southampton Hospital. DA Spota said Wednesday's ...
