ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 24 -- Kazuhiro Sakata and Akihisa Kurashima, both of Tokyo, have developed a location information conversion device.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to a "location information conversion device which can ensure privacy protection of a search object. Upon receiving a request with a designated accuracy from an input/output section, a location information generating section acquires location information from a location measurement section and supplies the location information to an accuracy adjustment section, together with the designated accuracy.
