Wheeling Jesuit University issued the following press release:
As part of the Jesuit Jubilee Year Celebration, Wheeling Jesuit University will confer honorary degrees to Avery Cardinal Dulles, S.J. and The Most Reverend Michael Bransfield, Bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.
On April 19, the University will award Cardinal Dulles an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters. Cardinal Dulles, the McGinley professor of theology at Fordham University, will present, "Jesuit Origins and Jesuit Mission Today," at 7:30 p.m. in the Troy Theater on the Wheeling Jesuit campus. Cardinal Dulles, the author of Models of the Church, among numerous other works, is a world-renowned Jesuit theologian.
