Today, Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Vice-Chairman of the House Rules Committee, was among Members of Congress invited by the White House to attend this morning's presidential signing of the extension of the Voting Rights Act. Diaz-Balart, who as Vice-Chairman of the House Rules Committee, took the 25 year extension of the Voting Rights Act to the House Floor on July 13th, 2006, hailed it as a victory for millions of racial, ethnic and language minority citizens.
