Article: MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, FARM GROUPS TEAM UP TO OFFER FREE WASTE PESTICIDE COLLECTION

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:

Minnesota farmers and other pesticide users in northwestern and north central Minnesota counties will have opportunity this August to dispose of unwanted and unusable pesticides by visiting drop-off sites set up by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) and a coalition of 14 farm organizations.

Disposal is free for waste pesticide loads under 300 pounds. Products accepted include insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and rodenticides. Collection sites will be operated according to the following schedule:

* Greenbush: August 8, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Cenex/Harvest States

* Warren: August 8, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at ...
