Article: USDA DESIGNATES COUNTIES IN OKLAHOMA, TENNESSEE AS NATURAL DISASTER AREAS

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency has issued the following press release:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture designated counties in Oklahoma and Tennessee as primary natural disaster areas, making all qualified farm operators in the designated areas eligible for low-interest emergency (EM) loans from USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA). The entire state of Oklahoma was designated a primary natural disaster area due to losses caused by drought, extreme heat and high winds that occurred from Jan. 1, 2006, and continuing.
