Article: ARKANSAS ARMY NATIONAL GUARD EXPERIENCING BIGGEST RECRUITING SUCCESS SINCE END OF DRAFT

The Arkansas State Military Department issued the following news release:

The Arkansas Army National Guard is experiencing its biggest and longest-running recruiting success since the end of the draft, said the Arkansas Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Manager, Lt. Col. Leslie Collins.

For the past eight of nine months, the Arkansas Army National Guard has met or exceeded its recruiting goals, bringing the current end strength in the state to 8,069 Soldiers. This number makes up approximately 80 percent of the total Arkansas Guard force, with an additional 2,016 members serving as members of the Air National Guard.
