The Georgia Republican Party issued the following news release:

After Rep. Cynthia McKinney assaulted a Capitol Hill police officer, we asked if Mark Taylor would publicly withdraw his support of the liberal Democrat. At the time, Taylor was using Cynthia McKinney's endorsement to pander for votes in the gubernatorial primary. Instead of answering our question, he dodged the issue by referring all reporters' enquiries about McKinney to the Democratic Party.
