Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss., issued the following press release:

Gov. Haley Barbour announced the appointment of Ed Perry, of Oxford, to the Mississippi State Board for Community and Junior Colleges, which serves as a coordinating board to authorize disbursements of state appropriated funds to the 15 community and junior colleges throughout the state.

"Ed is committed to improving the quality of higher education in Mississippi. He has a proven work ethic, and I look forward to working with Ed as he undertakes this new board position," Governor Barbour said.
