Article: GOV. BARBOUR APPOINTS HENRY THOMAS TO STATE BOARD FOR COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES

Gov. Haley Barbour, R-Miss., issued the following press release:

Gov. Haley Barbour announced the appointment of Henry Thomas, of Moselle, to the Mississippi State Board for Community and Junior Colleges, which serves as a coordinating board to authorize disbursements of state appropriated funds to the 15 community and junior colleges throughout the state.

"Henry is committed to improving the quality of higher education in Mississippi," Governor Barbour said. "His years of educational experience combined with his proven work ethic make him well-qualified to serve in this capacity. I look forward to working with Henry as he undertakes this new position."
