KIDAPAWAN CITY: A journalism seminar on ethics, libel and responsible reporting will be held here on August 26. It is open to practicing journalists and to young writers and students.

The seminar-part of the three-day (August 26 to 28) North Cotabato Media Summit-is designed to equip journalists and campus writers with skills and full understanding of ethical and responsible reporting amid the unmitigated killings of journalists, particularly in the countryside.

Juan P. Dayang, president of the Publishers Association of the Philippines Inc., said the idea of a seminar on ethical journalism came from Gov. Manny Pinol of Cotabato, a former journalist.
